Skype upgrades app to include photo sharing

Skype users can now send and receive photos as part of its app upgrade for iPhone and iPad.

here are several new additions to the company’s latest app update – available now in the Apple App Store. However, ‘PhotoShare’, is the biggest change.

People can take a photo from their gallery or shoot a new one and then instant message it to friends and family over Skype.

The addition compliments the popular service used by millions of people to keep in touch with friends and family who are abroad.

Plus, Skype says that there is no limit to the size of the photo which can be shared.

People need to tap on the name of a contact they wish to send the image, choose the shot and then click the ‘send’ button. The contact needs to be set up on Skype instant messenger.

The new version of the app will also take up less battery.
