The harsh reality of social media

What if Facebook didn’t exist? Or Twitter? Or Google? Go on, try it on. Surely to utter such an idea is internet heresy.

The bombshell news is there’s a good chance it will happen to at least one of these companies. Not tomorrow, not next week, or next year. But 5 or 10 years? It’s a pretty good bet.

The harsh reality is all companies have a shelf life, and until very recently it seems we’ve overlooked this fact of technology life.
